Intuit runs ~2500 services on Kubernetes, and being one of the top SAAS companies, Observability and Development Productivity is a top priority. The challenge is that we need to analyze massive amounts of operational data (O11Y, SSDLC, Cloud Cost, etc.) generated by these data sources in real-time, at scale, and present the most relevant insights to the user with the most appropriate context. Our talk focuses on integrating open-source LLMs with Numaproj (Intuit’s OSS project) and other CNCF open-source technologies to address this problem. We will show how Numaproj creates automatic embedding in VectorDB to effectively use GenAI to interpret real-time insights. With real-time insights, MTTD came down from 30 minutes to 3 minutes, and to reduce MTTR, we used prompt engineering and tuning to close the last mile through an interactive experience. We also use this platform to solve Development Productivity by using LLMs to analyze PRs, RCA document creation, etc.
